IUEU Distinguished Research Fellow Prof. Jacques Rupnik will be in residence at La Trobe University between June and July 2009 (dates TBC).


Professor Rupnik is the Director of Research at the Centre d`Etudes et de Recherche Internationales (CERI) in Paris and Visiting Professor at the College of Europe, Bruges. He is the author of Les banlieues de l'Europe. Les politiques de voisinage de l’Union européenne (2007); avec Christian Lequesne, L'Europe des Vingt-Cinq. 25 cartes pour un jeu complexe (nouvelle ed. 2005); Les Européens face à l'élargissement. Perceptions, acteurs, enjeux. (2004) Balkan Diary (2004)

Proposed lecture topics: European Expansion, Integration and European Diasporas.
